Digital Handover
Different from the traditional engineering design (using paper as the key medium material), the digital handover of a capital project refers to a delivery of an integrated digitalized platform, which collects data and model from engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning stages. And the platform re-organizes the following data per the standards and requirements from owner operators instead of capital project team.
• Data – deliverables include component attributes, units of measurement, process data reporting templates, equipment data reporting templates, instrumentation data tables, cabling base and installation guides. The data is collected throughout the project lifecycle and re-organized per their classifications.
• Document – deliverables include project generated e-document under required formats to meet client’s needs. The deliverables also include guidelines, manuals and change request templates to support work collaborations.
• 3D model – similar as data and document, 3D model information can be properly used in the delivery platform. The delivered 3D model should use unified coordinates to avoid space and model collision.

Progressive Delivery Process

Value of Digital Handover
• Re-classify and categorize information per owner operators’ needs
• Reduce time and effort in project handover, reduce overall cost in using and maintaining the delivered data
• Ensure the integrity of delivered data and model, reflecting the real asset
• Deliver hotspots and relationships among different sources of data, enabling hotspot navigation function for future users
• Provide flexibility and convenience to hand over asset respectively by area, system or model
• Provide environmental and basic asset data for operation to build more integrated systems (with OTS, APS, RTO, MES, digital worker applications) and run the plant more efficiently
